MOLLY MCGUIRE

Born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa, Molly caught the theatre bug at home staging elaborate homemade musicals in her family's foyer with her six siblings. Molly's Thanksgiving plays were the true highlight of extended family gatherings.

At the encouragement of her parents, eleven year old Molly attended an open call in Des Moines for the national tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, starring Jon Secada, to sing in the children's chorus. Of 453 hopeful kids, Molly was cast in the production. After performing a three week run with the show, in front of a two thousand seat house, she was hooked.

Fast forward to 2016 and 2017, after attending Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, she performed regionally in Disney's Sister Act as Sister Mary Robert, in Thoroughly Modern Millie as Millie Dillmount, in The Drowsy Chaperone as Janet Van de Graff (Mary Peckmen Award), and in the world premiere staging of Pete the Cat, a musical based on the wildly popular children's series.

In the Fall of 2017 Molly made her Twin Cities debut in the Guthrie Theatre's production of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. In May of 2018, she was cast in her second Guthrie project Bad News...I was there directed by JoAnne Akalaitis.

In January 2019, Molly made the big move to New York City. After a whirlwind first audition season in the city, she returned to Circa 21' Playhouse portraying Karla the coffee girl in Grumpy Old Men the musical, based on the popular 1990's movie.

Outside of theatre, Molly is a diehard Creighton University basketball fan and enjoys spending time with her family and friends from her cherished childhood summer camp.
